MesaStila - Central Java

ACCOMMODATION
For discerning travellers seeking authentic accommodation, MesaStila offers elegantly, individually designed and appointed villas that have been constructed from original Javanese antique Limasan, Joglo or Kudus wooden houses. Built on top of the hill in the centre of a coffee plantation, there are 23 Villas with 1, 2 and 5 bedrooms that range in size from 80 to 135 metres. Lush bedding, carefully selected local furnishings and artefacts adorn the villas that also feature large living areas and of course, modern facilities.
PLANTATION VILLA
A wonderfully light and bright villa with one bedroom and featuring a combined living and sleeping area. Guests can take in the stunning views from the outdoor terrace and smell the fragrance of blooming coffee trees.
ARUM VILLA
All of these one bedroom Villas are lavishly furnished with traditional Javanese décor and antiques. They also feature a mediterranean bathroom and a large balcony that overlooks Central Java's mountains as well as having a daybed.
AMBAR FAMILY VILLA
Spacious and luxurious, this Villa has 1 double and 1 single bedroom. The double bedroom has a spacious bathroom, living room and boasts mountain or plantation views, whilst the single bedroom has a writing desk as well as an outdoor and indoor shower. Ideally the family Villa can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
AMBAR 2-BEDROOM VILLA
Suitable for 4 adults, this two-storey duplex style accommodation has the main entrance and spacious living room on the first floor. Upstairs are two ensuited bedrooms, living rooms and spacious verandas with views of Mt. Merbabu and Mt. Andong.
BELLA VISTA 5 x BEDROOM VILLA
This Villa is luxurious in its design and is also the most unique and authentic in its construction. Consisting of 3 adjoining Villas and 2 free-standing Villas, guests have the choice to take 4 bedrooms (for up to 8 guests) or the entire 5 bedrooms (for up to 10 guests).
The Villa is complete with a large living room, dining room, private pool with views of the surrounding mountains and lush rice terraces. Personal Butler service is provided for the ultimate experience for discerning travelers.
THE CUISINE
Boasting two Restaurants: Java Green & Java Red, wonderful menus have been created by Executive Chef Arya Kusumaatmaja and his Team at MesaStila that offers a range of tastes and innovative flair. Chef Arya uses traditional flavours as well as a sense of the real Java, inspired by the entire Team who were encouranged to find recipes that are famous in their local village; these recipes were then adapted to retain their character and flavour. Combining a wide range of locally grown, organic and sustainably derived produce, the dishes served at MesaStila also incorporate wholesome and healthy cooking techniques, such as steamed scrambled eggs, baked snapper and Indonesian prawn crackers cooked in heated volcanic sand.
HAMMAM SPA
The Indonesian Jamu sellers, best described today as "walking/talking pharmacies" are a result of a long historical association in the Indonesian Archipelago between Chinese and Arabian traders who introduced plants, herbs and spices bringing insights from Indian Ayurvedic, Chinese and Greek medicine and Arabian healing practices. One such ritual to be introduced is the Hammam Turkish Bath and MesaStila is proud to house South East Asia's only authentic Hammam.
The Spa
Created for complete relaxation and the specially trained therapists at MesaStila offer a wonderful selection of massage and cleansing rituals including scrubs and facials. There are also pedicures, manicures and a hairdressers at the Salon. Small guests are not forgotten with some specially designed treatments that include body, finger and toe massages, to hairdressing.
FITNESS & YOGA
MesaStila has devised some wonderful Fitness and Yoga Programs as well as traditional healing therapies for guests.
