Located in the centre of the old moated city of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand and just 2.6km from the airport is Rachamankha, renowned for its incredible architecture that pays homage to Chiang Mai's golden age of the Lanna period.

From the moment you enter the large open lobby, with vaulted ceiling, artefacts, teak and stone, you are welcomed immediately into this haven.  Rachamankha is a stunning boutique hotel giving its guests not only privacy, but also a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere.  Yet outside its imposing entrance is a buzzing city that offers guests a myriad of activities; from visiting Wat Phra Singh the city's most important temple, to night markets, galleries, museums, restaurants and bars.

Rachamankha offers 22 rooms and 2 suites.  The décor is simple and elegant with extraordinary attention to detail.  Each individually decorated room offers guests every amenity they would expect, from beautiful furnishings to antiques collected from Europe, China, Burma and of course, Thailand.

There are 18 Superior Rooms of 32sqm.  Each ensuite room is individually decorated with art and antiques.  There are twelve rooms with king beds and the remaining six are fitted with twin single beds.

Beautifully appointed rooms of 40sqm with a canopied king size bed.  There are 4 Deluxe ensuite rooms and each is individually decorated with art and antiques.

The two Suites boast 100sqm each and consist of two large ensuite bedrooms set either side of a large lounge.   Each suite is individually decorated with Asian art pieces from the owners' private collection and Asian antique furniture, creating a uniquely personal, elegant and homely space.

There are two dining locations to select from;  the air-conditioned dining room which is light, bright and airy, decorated with 18th and 19th Century Thai art or The Courtyard with shady trees and decorated with fresh flowers throughout the year.  This is a delightful space to dine al fresco, whether on a cool Chiang Mai morning with the open fire crackling away, or a warm sunny afternoon under the shade of the trees, or under the stars on a balmy Chiang Mai evening.  Both Restaurants feature a unique selection of dishes from Lanna, Myanmar, Tai-Yai and Thailand and also offer Western and Fusion dishes.  These is a wide selection of both old and new world wines available from a comprehensive wine list.
