A little explanation for the name change:
In line with their recent renovations, the hotel has adopted a new name that is more in keeping wth its identity, history and ties to the Left Bank of Paris. The hotel is located in the Vaugirard Estate, where the love between Louis XIV and Madame de Maintenon was born, hence the name "Louison".
Constructed in 1856, Louison Hotel is located in the heart of Paris's Left Bank, between the Luxumberg Gardens and Montparnassé in St. Germain-des-Prés. Within a short walking distance to the Seine and well-known for its antique dealers and art galleries, there are a wonderful selection of cafés, restaurants, bars, museums, parks and luxury boutiques that have made this one of Paris's most chic arrondissements.
This is a family run establishment, where guests are made to feel at home. The entrance is welcoming with lovely flower-boxes lining the windows outside, leading to the beautiful entrance.
In conjunction with the rebranding of Louison Hotel (formerly The Aviatic), the hotel has also been extensively refurbished and revitalized by Architect F. Foucaut, marrying smart bohemian style with modern-day comforts. Wood paneling, marble, parquet floors and a treasure trove of antiques and artefacts, all serve as a reminder that this property has a wonderful history.
Entering the Louison Hotel you are greeted by a comfortable and intimate reception area oozing Parisienne style. Delicate lighting enhances the foyer's soft muted colours. Fine artworks and a sprinkling of antiques give a welcoming feel to this chic hotel.
The multi-lingual Reception Staff are helpful and attentive and can assist with all of your requirements; from check-in to reserving restaurants, theatres and arranging both airport and/or train transfers.
To the left of the entrance is the Salon, which is a wonderful where to sit and relax. In the evenings the Hotel Louison serves Aperitif's to guests in the Breakfast Room - transformed for the occasion. Offering a wide selection of drinks and wines accompanied by delicious snacks; all complimentary of course. To the back of the foyer, is the Library that contains a wonderful selection of books and other reading materials and of course, there is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The Library overlooks a charming Patio that is also accessible to guests.
Breakfast Room
The beautiful new Breakfast Room, is located on the ground floor and offers guests a wonderful buffét selection: fresh fruits, juices, cheeses, small goods and of course delicious pastries and buttery croissant, local jams as well as tea and coffee. In-room breakfast service is also available.
ACCOMMODATION
Boasting 43 rooms including one suite, there are several different room categories for guests to select from to best suit their requirements. Each room has a different configuration, so room layouts are not available. All rooms are air-conditioned and include free Wi-Fi and flat-screen televisions that blend perfectly with the décor - marrying exellence and charm.
The Traditional room takes its inspiration from the intellectual and artistic environment of the Latin Quarter, providing geust with an intimate, creative atmosphere in which to relax. Perfect for business trips or a romantic weekend. The Presige rooms and suite are specious offering high quality facilities and designed for families and longer stays. There are interconnecting rooms and also dedicated triples, again perfect for family or friends travelling together.
